My car was towed, how do I get it back?

You must first make contact with the tow service that has the vehicle to make payment arrangements. The you will have to come to the Sheriff's Office with proper identification and proof of payment to the tow service. A vehicle release form will be completed at CCSO before you can retrieve the vehicle from the tow yard.

Where is the Cecil County Sheriff's Office located?

107 Chesapeake Boulevard, Suite 112, Elkton, MD. Follow Chesapeake Boulevard passed the Motor Vehicle Administration. Make right onto Konica Drive and then turn right into our parking lot. A Duty Officer is on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days week.

I left a message for a Deputy, when will they call back?

Patrol Deputies work a rotating schedule so as to provide the citizens of Cecil County 24 hour protection. Due to this Deputies may not be able to make immediate contact with you if they are off work. Please e-mail the Deputy in addition to leaving voicemail.

I need a copy of an Accident Report?

Typically you will need to wait up to 5 business days from the date of the accident before you can purchase a copy of an Accident Report in person at the Sheriff's Office Monday through Friday, 8-3:00 PM. Checks or Money Orders made out to the Cecil County Sheriff's Office in the amount of $4.00. Accident Reports may be requested via mail. Send your written request with your Case Number to: Attention Central Records, Cecil County Sheriff's Office, 107 Chesapeake Blvd. Suite 112, Elkton, MD with your check or money order.I need a copy of an Accident Report.

How can I get a copy of police report?

You must be the victim listed in a police report to be able to purchase it for $5.00 via check or money order made out to the Cecil County Sheriff's Office. If you are listed as a Suspect in the case you are not eligible to receive the report. Contact your attorney. To speed the process please have the case number provided by the Deputy available when you come in with a photo identification card to the Sheriff's Office. Reports can only be issued in person. Reports can be picked up between 8-3:00 PM Monday through Friday.

I received a notice from the Sheriff's Office at my home?

Please use the phone number on the notice and contac the Deputy directly. Our Civil Division Deputies typically are available to respond to your phone calls Monday through Friday, 7-3:00 PM.

I am being evicted, what can I do?

Please contact your landlord directly with questions related to an eviction. The Cecil County Sheriff's Office does not schedule evictions.

I am going out of town, can the Sheriff's Office check on my home?

Yes. Please come into the Sheriff's Office and request a Property Check Form from the Duty Officer.
